Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Bronx Zoo’s Future Leaders Program (FLP). We are excited to consider your participation. FLP is a work readiness program at the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). WCS is a non-profit organization focused on saving wild life and wild nature worldwide. In New York City, WCS manages five facilities: Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and New York Aquarium. About the Future Leaders Program

The Future Leaders Program teaches skills youth can use in the workplace and everyday life by offering job training, professional development, college readiness, service learning, career mentoring and plenty of other opportunities to increase their potential!

Accepted participants for the 2017-18 program year will commit to up to 6 program hours per week and/or occasionally perform service learning work on weekends. Program workshops include college and career development, community service learning, and skill building.

Eligibility Requirements:
- 16-24 years of age
- Living in New York City
- High School/out of school or pursuing GED
- Not currently enrolled in College/University
- Willing and available to work for WCS
- Highly motivated
Upon successful completion of the 2018-19 program year, participants may be eligible to return for a second year of the program.

Below you will find the application for the 2017-18 program year. The 2018-19 program year will begin October 9, 2018 and end June, 2019. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Only complete applications will be screened and invited for in-person interviews. Interviews will be held October 1st -October 5th. You may submit your application by filling out the following information and clicking the submit button below.

In addition to a complete application, you must also upload the following supportive documentation:

If invited for an intervew, you will be asked to bring in the following:

1. Transcript/ Report Card

2. School Schedule (if currently enrolled)

3. Copy of a Valid ID

4. Resume (If available)
