Does the 100MB apply when using Dropbox or FTP?

Asked by cinekid on May 12, 2011

    Hi,

I would like to test Jotform in our non-profit organization.

For this I setup a free account.

Does the 100MB limit apply when I have submissions uploaded through FTP or Dropbox?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Kindn regards,

    Dennis

    Hi Dennis

Yes, the 100 MB limit still applies but you can always download the files to your computer and delete them from where they're stored online to free up space.

Thanks for asking and feel free to discuss this further or any other form related matter.

    Hi,

Thank you for the prompt reply!

I'm thinking of setting up the FTP option.

Will deleting the entries affect the FTP uploads? (Eg delete them too?)

Also, will the files be renamed so they can easily identified against the form entries?

    Thank you once again.

    Best regards,

    Dennis

    Hi,

Upon testing, I found out that deleting the entries in your Jotform account would not affect the FTP uploads in any way.

The entries will be uploaded to your FTP account in this fashion:

Folder Name (you specified) > Form Name > Submission ID > Submission Entry

Inside the submission ID folder you will find the files you uploaded (they will retain their original filename) and a PDF containing all the information filled by the user.

Hope this post was of any use to you. If you have other queries, please let us know.
