With dropbox integration- is it possible to make several different forms submissions go into the same folder?

Working on an employee update form. Currently I have it split into 4 different sections to make it more manageable. I was wondering if it is possible to make submissions from each of these four different sections (each a different form on JotForm) go to the same root folder in dropbox automatically, so I wouldn't have to manually combine each to make a complete employee file.

Or, if there is a way to access are any more tools to manipulate the dropbox integration, advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi Andrew,

Yes that is possible. You can have the same root folder on each of your form's Dropbox folder settings.

    Example:

With dropbox integration is it possible to make several different forms submissions go into the same folder? Image 1 Screenshot 40

But in order to prevent the submissions.pdf file from overwriting on every form submissions, I suggest you to add Extended Folder Name.

    Example:

If your form is already connected to Dropbox, just open the Dropbox Integration on the Integrations list and click Manage Integtation to configure the folder names.

If you have further questions about this, let us know here.

What about a custom naming convention for the files without a submission folder? Or a name different than that of their submission folder? I would ideally like to place all four different form's results into one folder, and have a separate folder for each employee.

But as it stands, either each form creates a new folder with only one file in it, or if I select no folder for "submission folder," I cannot figure out a way to change the name of the file away from a string of numbers.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hi,

Please refer again to the image for the guidance of on my answers

I would ideally like to place all four different form's results into one folder,

To my understanding -- you can set this to the Root Folder. If you have 4 different forms integrated to Dropbox, set the configuration of each forms to have common User Defined Dropbox root folder Name. All the forms should submit on the same folder in your Dropbox.

and have a separate folder for each employee.

This is where you can use the Submission Folder Name. Set the configuration of each forms to have different User Defined Submission Folder Name.

If this is done correctly, the folder structure in Dropbox will be like this

    Dropbox

    -- Root Folder Name(user defined)

    ------ form 1 submission

    ----------- employee 1

    ------ form 2 submission

    ----------- employee 2

    ------ form 3 submission

    ----------- employee 3

    ------ form 4 submission

    ----------- employee 4

I also suggest you take a look on this guide

    -How-to-setup-folders-using-UniqueID-in-Dropbox.

It should help you have a different option on what you wanted to achieved.

And if you are refering to this form http://www.jotform.us/form/40876218835160 of yours, I will try also the method I described using my Dropbox account. Just to confirm if what I described will work in actual. I will get back to you about it.

Hope this help. Inform us if you have further concern.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Here is the result of my test.

    I created 3 forms(Clone1, Clone2, Clone3) and integrated them all to Dropbox

With dropbox integration is it possible to make several different forms submissions go into the same folder? Image 1 Screenshot 40

With dropbox integration is it possible to make several different forms submissions go into the same folder? Image 2 Screenshot 51

I test submitted the form, and answered the Nickname question with different names.

The submissions of each 3 forms goes to "Valet Employee Forms" folder, then below the main folder, the Employee/Nickname have its own folder. So, if each Employee will have other different info, they will be contained on the Employee/Nickname folder.
