Stripe: A new customer is added after every trasaction.

Your stripe integration automatically adds a new and separate customer at stripe for every payment which means that if the same person makes ten purchases then absurdly ten customers are created and listed - even though it is the same person. It also, even more absurdly, means that if a transaction fails then that person is still added as a new customer even though they are not a customer - which gives misleading and useless stats. PLEASE provide the option to NOT ADD customers and to only list payments at Stripe. Stripe provide this choice of options to its users.  I have been in touch with stripe and they say that in my case payments only should be my option of choice, but they say they I cannot select this option because jotform is set up to automatically add customers as a default.

    Hello alanjohn,

I did test the Stripe payment integration and it seems you are right. Every transaction seems to create a new customer in stripe account. The Strip payment question and it's property does not have any option currently available to disable the feature to adding customers by default.

Let me report this to our back end team send a feature request to them. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update form them.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

You may now choose to not create a customer record for each payment made using your form.

Simply right-click on your payment field, click "Show Properties", then choose "No" for the "Create Customer" option.

Note: this works only for product and donation-type transactions.

    Kindest regards
