Deleting old files

Hi, it says I am out of space, but if my old uploads were deleted I would have lots of space.  Once my customers send me files, I do not need them to be stored on your servers so deleting them would be fine.   So, how can I either 1) delete files to free up space or 2) set JotForm to automatically delete files after a certain number of days?  This is the better choice so it happens automatically.

Or, does your system delete old files to make room for new submissions?  That would be OK, too.

Lastly, while I like that my users do not have to sign in to send us forms, it would be WONDERFUL if this would be an option so my customers do not have to re-enter their info every time.  If JotForm could remember them by adding an option to register, this would be too good to be true.  Please consider adding this option, even if for an added fee.

    Thanks!

    Hello presentech,

    1) delete files to free up space

To free up upload storage space, you should actually delete the submission records of your form. Please be noted that deleting a submission record will also delete the attached file as well which will in turn free up your upload storage space.

    2) set JotForm to automatically delete files after a certain number of days?

Please be noted that it is not possible to just delete the uploaded file. You should actually delete the submission records. If you want the submissions to be deleted automatically, you can take advantage of our "Auto Delete Submissions" app which will delete the submissions data as soon as it is received.

Or, does your system delete old files to make room for new submissions?  That would be OK, too.

Please be noted that we do not delete any files. To free up upload storage space, you should delete your form's submission record.

I have moved your unrelated question to a new thread and you will be answered here:  http://www.jotform.com/answers/447170

    Thank you!
