I am getting an error when attempting to download an excel report of my submissions either by team or free agent

    Hi,

I tried testing by downloading the excel and I was able to download it without any problems. Can you share the error message that you're getting?

Make sure that you're logged in with the user that has permission to download the report.

Here's a guide on How to Partially Download Form Submissions as Excel, CS or PDF -(http://www.jotform.com/help/73-How-to-Partially-Download-Form-Submissions-as-Excel-CSV-PDF)

Let us know if you're still having problems. Thanks!

Just to add to that, I did the test using Firefox and Google Chrome. So please try clearing your browser cache. If still the same then clear your form cache.

Let us know if you're still having problems. Thanks!

I have been using Firefox and have used this the forms for a year.  I used yesterday and was unable to use last night.  My account is shared with me cwilkins88 - we run leagues together.

I see you have a few jotforms with account "cwilkins88" as you mentioned in your last response.

Is that the account you are having the excel problem on then or is it with "rauchpgh" or both?

Is it happening with all of your submissions on all of your jotforms or just one jotform?

Which one(s) are you having the issue with?

Correct with cwilkins88 ONLY - all submissions.  It prepares to send then I get the error. I am going to remove the software and reinstall.  I was going backwards w/what could have changed and the only thing I can come up with is my laptop updated.  I have an old version of Office Home and Student.

    Hi Renee,

I suggest you first login to the account cwilkins88  and download the submissions Excel data. Check if you are able to properly download when logged in to the account.

Just to let you know also, the Excel data is in .xlsx format. It means the Excel version should be at least the MS Excel 2010 version.

Can you please confirm that you just cannot open the downloaded Excel file?

You were able to download, but cannot open the file?

    Thanks.

Aside form Excel type data, you can also instead download the CSV format data

You can open the CSV data in your older version of MS Excel as the CSV data is a plain text format with delimiter only.

After you opened it in your MS Excel, you can save it then as an Excel type in your own version(2007).

    Hope this help.

    Thanks.

    Jonathan-

It's all fixed! I am so grateful.  Everything you all made me do helped me to understand the error message more clearly.

It was my version of excel that couldn't open.

    Back in action !
