    hi there,

i am wondering if there is a way to display a field based on a user's response to previous field? For example, if i want to create a contact form that asks the user who they are trying to contact using drop down form: option 1 - tech support; option 2 - marketing/sales, etc. If user selects option 1 - tech support i would like to have another drop down appear that would give more specific options to direct their inquiry appropriately.

Please let me know if possible.
    Thank you!

It is possible to use conditional loginc on form to do this:

Is it also possible to display text based on a selection? ie Technical support - mobile and then display a message that might address the person's issue - ie "have you tried doing this?" before they go into the trouble of writing message, etc.

    Hi,

Yes, you could do that with the same approach as above, by selecting show multiple option.

You could also use iFrame Embed widget to show another jotform that would hold the "Have you tried" suggestions allowing you to keep the jotform easy to maintain and only update the one with the suggestions once new things come up.

You could also add Auto Complete widget to make the searches go smoother for your visitors (so that you do not display all of the fields at once). You can see what I mean here on a simple demonstration: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43084788337971 (just start typing "show" and you will see the 3 options available)

You can see here how to add these widgets to your jotform: How to Add a Widget to your Form

There are many ways that JotForm Builder can help you achieve what you want, just let us know when you need any assistance setting it up and we will be happy to help.

Do let us know if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ben
