To select single option from matrix field of survey form

I have a form for students to select elective choices. I have inserted matrix with radio buttons as input type. But I want student to select only one choice per row and per column. For example first image is the survey we wanted and second image is more than one row selected for column "Choice 1"

Question is: how to add validation that student should select only one choice per column wise that is choice for each row (electives)?

Correct Survey - only choice selected for each electives

Incorrect Survey - "Choice 1" is selected for two electives "Industrial Psychology" and "Business Environment".

Please be noted that the "Matrix" field does not work this way. 

Every row in a matrix field is a question with multiple options next to is. If you have radio button in matirx, you can only select one choice per row. 

If you want your users to select one option per column, then you actually tweak your requirement a bit and interchange the column with rows. Please check screenshot below for a better clarity on this:

Alternatively, you can also take a look at our "Configurable List" widget and see if that fits in your requirement.
