    Hi,

It is not currently available on the matrix field but let me forward this to our developers as a feature request so they can consider this on the future updates.

Here's what you can do for now in order to find the matrix IDs so you can match them on the API response.

If you're familiar with browser inspect element, do this. Open your form on your browser, right click anywhere on the page and click inspect element. Click the matrix field that you want to get it's ID and the elements window will highlight the corresponding code. There you will be able to see the matrix element ID used on the API.

    Hope this still helps. Thanks!

Here's the sample response showing the Matrix IDs which you can compare on my second screenshot.

    Hello,

all of actual troubles would be solved by an option to insert any field of Matrix into a calculation or condition :-)
I can't do it via API because I'm not a professional.
If you'd implement an option for me to be able to build a reference to any of these field, then it would be a great and useful function.

For example, updating a value of a text box:

IF something THEN INSERT TO TEXT_BOX

    MATRIXNAME #INPUT_9_1_1

and then I can use the value of the field in row 2, column 2 as a value in a condition or calculation.

Of course it would be more useful with the reference simplified, e.g. "MATRIXNAME_1_1" or any other syntax like this...

JotForm offers many type of input fields, even Matrix-type input tables, and I'm missing an option for using a specified field of table in an external operation.

I would be really happy for an easy-to-use option to do it without programming knowledge :-)

    Thanks

    Noemi

    @Nolasol

We have moved your question to a separate thread as it doesn't relate with the request on this thread. http://www.jotform.com/answers/470484. We'll answer your question once we get there. Thank you!
