Has anyone tried integrating SmartyStreets with Jotform?

My client would like their contact form to autopopulate a 9 digit zip code based on a street address and 5 digit zip. SmartyStreets can do this, and I'm trying to see if it integrates with Jotform. I'm not a programmer so I thought I'd ask before trying to integrate it myself. Thank you for any feedback.

    Hi,

I see no one have requested this before. Their sample output: https://smartystreets.com/docs/plugin seems like possible to integrate to the source codes of the form: http://www.jotform.com/help/104-How-to-get-the-Full-Source-Code-of-your-Form.

Their installation: https://smartystreets.com/docs/plugin/install is just a two line of scripts.

Will try to seek help about this to my colleagues. Will get back to you soon. For now, let me request this to our developers. Maybe they can add this as a widget.

You may also want to try any of the following widgets as an alternative:

    http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/postal_code_search

    http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/address_map_locator

    http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/geocomplete

    Thank you!

Thank you very much, if there was a widget for this, my client would sign up for jotform's paid service. Right now they are paying a competitor of jotform's but they don't allow widgets or any sort of 9 digit zip code functionality.

Thank you! Also, I forgot to reply, but I did try the other widgets you mentioned above. They are useful for what they do though do not add a 9 digit zip code.

Just checking in with this. I was thinking of posting an ad for creating this widget on odesk.com. I don't want to sound unappreciative of your help, though my client is pretty eager to get this done. So, just curious if anyone has done anything with this, or if I post an ad, what skillsets/languages should I look for? Thanks again for all of your help.

    Hi,

Unfortunately we are not able to see if there was any work done or how much work was done on this so I would suggest looking for the alternative route with the source code of your jotform.

From a quick look at their pages it seems that you can hire anyone with the knowledge and understanding of API and jQuery.

You can find a complete jQuery plugin that can be used to connect to their servers here: https://github.com/smartystreets/jquery.liveaddress

All that you would need is to create a proper callbacks to their API from your own functions and get / put data from/into proper fields on your jotform. In case you have any further questions please let us know and we would be happy to answer them.Best Regards,
    Ben

Thank you Ben. I've had a programmer create the SmartyStreets/Jotform widget, how long does it generally take for approval of this sort of thing? Does it vary?

I think you are referring to Foysal's widget. Unfortunately, we don't know the timeframe, but the widget is currently listed to our "For Approval" list. Foysal should receive an email once the widget is approved.

    Thank you for waiting!

Hi Welvin - yes, Foysal's widget is the one. It would be great if I could get feedback on the widget soon, my client's getting antsy...I'd love to bring them over to you from one of your competitor's!

I have moved your response to a new thread here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/513089

That way we will be able to raise it to our team in charge of widgets to see if they can give you any specific time frame when the widget would be approved.
