How are top rated contestants selected on the JotForm Design Contest?

By the way may I know how many finalists are there in each category? And how are they selected?

Perhaps we shouldn't have used the term "Finalist" but rather, top rated. Finalist just sounds better, but we may switch to the term Top Rated to avoid confusion. We picked around 50 of the best rated forms across all categories. It likely followed the trend of the contest in that the most impacted categories had more top rated forms.

User's choice is entirely separate.

All other categories were voted on with a voting tool ranking each form 1-10 for its category. We decided to highlight not just the top ones, but the top 50, since they all made great forms. We are discussing ways to recognize and appreciate not only the winners, but also those who put in a great effort. If you're part of this group, we'll keep you posted. It hasn't been finalized but we may opt to send them swag, or other things. Any updates of it will come after the main winners are announced.

What I meant was we decided to highlight the top rated forms. The details of what that may look like haven't been finalized yet.

We will be sure to contact all the top rated forms, as needed. We have no further information on this at this time. I don't have a time schedule for when we will, but it will definitely be after all the contest winners are announced. We just think it's great so many people put together nice forms, and we want to find a way to recognize them. Please just sit tight until all the contest announcements are finished!
