CAn we enter data directly into the database?Asked by TCNovella on October 04, 2011 at 09:57 PM
We have a survey that collects DOB information and the survey year data starts at 1920. We understand that we can download the source and change the starting date but there are very few of these DOBs.
Is there a way for us to manually enter the date via an backend option? Can we enter this directly into the database? We want the data online. See the original answer below to our DOB question.

You will need to download the full source code and then add more selection
values for the birthday year dropdown as shown below.
<option value="1919"> 1919 </option>
To get the source codes for your form:
1. Go to Setup & Embed
2. Click the Embed Form button
3. Choose Source
4. Copy the displayed Source Code.
Let us know if this works for you.
I am not quite sure if I understood your concern correctly, but it is definitely possible to manually enter data onto a form database that is stored in JotForm's servers.
Simply go to the form's submissions page, then click the Edit button for the entry which you want to manually edit.
Since it is basically impossible to change the starting year for the Date of Birth field, a workaround I can give is to insert a hidden box on your form.
You may then enter the DOB's onto the hidden box by manually editing the entries via the submissions page.
On another note, you can also try the workaround below to have a date of birth field that extends far beyond 1920.
