My jotform is not available 50% of the time

The first issue I am having is the about 50% of the time the website shows "form not available warning" a refresh will fix it. I am using an iframe embed which seems more reliable that the WordPress embed code which didn't work at all most of the time.

The second is more of a question: I don't want to have to create a contact form for each staff but my client would like the user to click an "email me" link and have a form that goes to that employee in a lightbox. Is there some type of variable that can be passed to do this with jotform?

    Just curious.

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble seeing your jotforms Melanie and would like to assist you in seeing how we can fix this.

Can you please tell us if this error that you get for form not being available happens when you go to jotform directly, when it is embedded in your website using iframe, or if you use WordPress Embedding code?

It might also be useful if you could give us the link to your WordPress website page where the jotform is so that we can check and see if there are any issues that would be causing this.

Also Melanie, in regards to your other question. as we can only provide assistance to one issue per thread, I have moved it to a new thread here: http://www.jotform.com/answers/499769

Will will answer it shortly and help you set it up as you want it :)

Here are some links to some of the forms on the website I am developing. I am continuing to work on this on a local dev server but I will leave this up so you can look at it.

Of course, when I went to get the links all the forms worked. What I saw was a big brownish gray box (same color as jotform website background) with a gray box and the a warning sign with "Error retrieving Form.

My client saw it too when she was looking at the dev site.

    Hi Melanie,

I checked all the URL you had provided

    http://melanieadcockdevsites.com/Frederick3/contact/apply-for-residency/

    http://melanieadcockdevsites.com/Frederick3/contact/get-in-touch/

    http://melanieadcockdevsites.com/Frederick3/giving/donate-today/

and in all website, I was able to see the loaded jotform

Can you please confirm that this is not what happens when you were open the website on your side?

What I did noticed though that could be a cause of issue, is that, you had embedded the forms using its secured (https) URL. While your website actually is not using https or secure URL.

I suggest you re-embed also the forms on the websites using only its regular URL (http).

Then check again if it makes any difference.

Let us know if issue still remains.

    Thanks.

The live site will be using SSL so I just put that in so I wouldn't have to redo. I'll re-embed them with non ssl for now and see if that helps.

Thanks. I am also moving the dev site to another webhost as I was having other issues doing it on GoDaddy.

I'll let you know today. I am finishing up on the restyling of the site right now.

Thank you Melanie for the update and I hope that you will not have any issues.

It might be that the tests on dev site had some firewall or otherwise issues?

Do let us know once you do make a switch and we would be happy to check it for you there as well :)
