Is there any way to trigger a mail merge using Zapier on final submission of a mutliple approval form?

If I choose to use Zapier to trigger a mail merge upon submission, is there any way I can only have it trigger on the final submission? Or is there some way to differentiate that submission to Zapier?

    Hi,

I'm not sure if I understood your question completely. May I know what particular Zapier app you are using? If you are looking on how to merge or combine submission, you can do that by using this particular app that we have: http://apps.jotform.com/app/combine_submissions. You may also check this Zapier integration between WebMerge and JotForm if this can help: https://zapier.com/zapbook/jotform/webmerge/9877/jotform-new-submission-to-webmerge-create-document-merge/.

Do let us know if this works or if I misunderstood your concern please do provide us more details of it.

    Thank you.

I want the last step to send off a PDF with all the data merged onto a clean handout.

yes, you got it. However, the final step is an edit on the original submission. Zapier only triggers on a new submission. How do i get the final step of the workflow to be a new submission?

    Hi,

May we know what are the forms you are using in your workflow and how it should work?

If the last step is an edit of the original submission, I think we can't trigger the Zapier integration on that. What I would recommend is that the last form would be a new form but with prepopulated values from the previous form. Here's a guide on how to prepopulate: http://www.jotform.com/help/71-Prepopulating-fields-to-your-JotForm-via-URL-parameters

Then you can use that prepopulated link and set it up in your Thank You page, here's a guide on that: http://www.jotform.com/help/211-Setting-Up-the-Thank-You-Page. The last form should be the one having the Zapier integration.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

The problem with URL parameters is that there's a lot of long answers and that could cause issues with the length of the URL.

The Assessment goes to 3 ppl, team member, supervisor, and approver. the approver's submission needs to kick off the pdf
