    Hello guys,

I am experiencing a similar issue. I am linking a 2nd gdoc sheet to the one that is receiving the jotform results  through an importrange formula and it does not seems to update automatically.

Have you found a way to work around this issue ?

Moreover, importrange seems to work on manual update but not on new form filling.

    Thank you

    Guido

    Hi Guido,

I think that's because of the update timeframe of the ImportRange function in Google Spreadsheet. From the link that is provided by my colleague, you can improve the ImportRange update time by following the workaround in this link: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?nomobile=true#!topic/docs/BsOdrVdZYdI. I haven't tried this, but this is the closest workaround to update your spreadsheet almost instantly.

Or, use Zapier to connect multiple forms to a single spreadsheet: https://zapier.com/zapbook/jotform/google-docs/3379/add-jotform-submission-to-google-docs-row/. I have already tried this and I would say, this is a very good alternative.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you!

By the way, here are the links for my test using Zapier:

    Google Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OV6VeKJo5Xmbh7cTFCekEqfucM7aTvlutQzTz2Rp-qA/edit?usp=sharing

    Form 1: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/50450999339972

    Form 2: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/50451628209958

Note that the spreadsheet will be updated for every 5 minutes. Just test the forms to see the output.

    Thanks

    Hello Welvin,

Thank you so much for your answer !!!

So indeed it seems to be a lag of update of the importrange function.

My problem is that I have

    1 a form

    2 a submission sheet

3 a shared sheet with submission results that some other people have access to

My problem is the link between 2 & 3 that is important to me as I don't want too many people to access directly the submissions sheet.

Any ideas on how to increase the importrange function update timeframe ?

I have tried several work arounds (dynamicimportrange script, now function etc etc) maybe a macro ?

    Regards

    Guido

    Hi Guido,

Unfortunately, I personally don't know much of the ImportRange function in Google Spreadsheet. I used this method before, but then again, the second spreadsheet will be updated only when you manually visit the original sheet. I've also searched the NOW function, but it looks like it's not supported anymore in the new google spreadsheet.

I've found this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24336011/force-importrange-to-update-at-certain-intervals. Maybe this will help. Can you try it? Will also review this one.

How about the integration in Zapier? You may consider using that as an alternative to ImportRange. You can use two spreadsheets for one form. Just create two zaps.

    Thanks
