Printing forms data results in PDFs that do not show any data

ons as pdfs for our records, all of the text for the form disappears. This is for things like signing consents, so it's kind of meaningless when the submission has a signature with no text to show what they're signing.

Based on what you have mentioned I presume that you were downloading PDF as described in this guide: How to Create a PDF Form?

If so, please note that this option is to create an empty PDF form that resembles your jotform as closely as possible and it is similar to the new Fillable PDF feature, but it will not create the same type of PDF - the one created using the steps above will make static PDF pages instead.

The dynamic or fillable PDFs are created using this tool: The Fillable PDF Form Creator but this tool will too create an empty PDF file, but will allow you to use it in your Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader or Foxit software to fill out and save, or print.

    * Depending on the PDF Reader version, you might not be able to save the file after filling it out, but you would get a notification of that if so.

To get the PDF with the submitted data on it, you should instead create a different kind of PDF - submission PDF.

You can see here how to download multiple submissions in a PDF: How to Partially Download Form Submissions as Excel/CSV/PDF?, but if you need PDF of only single submission then you should go into your Submissions Panel and select the submission that you would like to get data from in the form of PDF.

Now once you do you will see the print option - if you want to print it directly:

If you want to save it a PDF instead - with all the data, then the right button of it is the right one to use - Get PDF

Do let us know if the file you get using the last two steps have no data and we would be happy to check what might be the cause of it.

I would also like to suggest taking a look at this guide: How to include Headers, Texts and Images in the PDF format of a submission

Do let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your response. Clicking "show text/headers" seems to solve the problem.
