Can you change the drop down options in a matrix?

I am creating a matrix and i see there is a drop down option but am not able to figure out how to change what is displayed in the drop down. 

That's interesting, because I actually was able to change the drop down in the matrix.

Yes you can change the options list of the Dropdon input in Matrix field. 

You can do this in the Matrix properties.
