    Modifying the PayPal intergration & HTTPS:/

    Asked by bob on December 31, 2011 at 02:41 PM

    I would like to know :

    1. Can you modify the paypal form so that by default VISA/MASTERCARD/AMEX is selected with the embedded form displayed?

    see http://bestdcjack.csvermont.com to see example. My clients may not have a paypal account so I don't want to confuse them.

    2. Can you host the form and provide the SSL? Security HTTPS ?

    Hi Bob,

    1. Use the full form source code on your site and edit the code so that it checks the credit card option instead. Here is how you can get full form source code. Open your form on the Form Builder:

    1. Click "Setup & Embed" tab on toolbar,

    2. Click on "Embed Code",

    3. Click on "Source" button and copy it to notepad or any editing tool you have.

    4. Find the code below:

    <td valign="middle">
      <input type="radio" class="paymentTypeRadios" id="input_1_paymentType_credit" name="q1_myProducts1[paymentType]" value="credit">
      <label for="input_1_paymentType_credit"> <img align="absmiddle" src="http://www.jotform.com/images/credit-card-logo.png"> </label>
      </td>
      <td align="right">
      <input type="radio" class="paymentTypeRadios" id="input_1_paymentType_express" name="q1_myProducts1[paymentType]" checked="checked" value="express">
      <label for="input_1_paymentType_express"> <img align="absmiddle" src="http://www.jotform.com/images/paypal_logo.png"> </label>
    </td>

    As you can see by default the radio field for Paypal with value express is marked as checked="checked". To make the credit card as default, simply transfer the code checked="checked" inside the credit card code. Please check the code below as a final result:

    <td valign="middle">
      <input type="radio" class="paymentTypeRadios" id="input_1_paymentType_credit" name="q1_myProducts1[paymentType]checked="checked"  value="credit">
      <label for="input_1_paymentType_credit"> <img align="absmiddle" src="http://www.jotform.com/images/credit-card-logo.png"> </label>
      </td>
      <td align="right">
      <input type="radio" class="paymentTypeRadios" id="input_1_paymentType_express" name="q1_myProducts1[paymentType]value="express">
      <label for="input_1_paymentType_express"> <img align="absmiddle" src="http://www.jotform.com/images/paypal_logo.png"> </label>
     </td>

    2. To switch your form into a secure version, simply use https://secure.jotform.com on your form's embed code. See sample code below:

    <script type="text/javascript" src=" https://secure.jotform.com/jsform/FORM_ID"></script>

    Please let us know if you have further questions. Thank you so much!
