Printing hidden fields and fields without responses

    Question about general functionality.

I'd like to be able to include in the print out of submissions the hidden fields and even questions with zero response. Turn the printed form/survey into a tool for continued processing of things like personal comments, etc.

    Workaround?

To do that, you should make the following changes to your submissions panel before printing (remember that if you send the PDF to your customers, they will be affected in the same manner as you are by these settings)

This will make it show all Text elements on the PDF as well as to show empty or hidden fields.

You can see additional details on this guide: How to show headers or text for contracts/terms/agreements in the PDF format of a submission

Do test it out and let us know if that is what you were after.

not sure that answers my question or maybe I need it explained differently.  I want to be able to hide my "office use only" fields from customer's sight when they are completing the form, but I want to have those hidden fields show up when I print the completed form to PDF.  Make sense?  Can I do that?

Yes, my suggestion will offer you just that:

    1. to have the hidden fields hidden on the form from your users

    2. to allow you to print the same hidden fields, from within the submissions panel

I do want to apologize for a confusion, I should have explained it better. There are options to allow your customers to get the PDF of their submissions after they submit the form - like Attach PDF option in the email, or the {PDF-link} in the same.

If you share the PDF with them in this manner, it will show them the same fields (within their PDF) as it will for you, but it will not effect the fields on the form.

So when you start printing the forms, you can enabled the options that you need and then hide the same, once you are done.

Do feel free to test it out and see if that is what you were after, but just to note, there is no way to make a change to what you see in the Submissions Panel for a single submission that would not impact the info on the PDF for your customers as well, but only if they are downloading the PDF at that specific moment.

I'm not using a pdf form. Just printing finished survey to pdf. I'll work
with this. Thanks for your help.
