Incomplete Values error: unremovable calculation clears dropdown field before form is submitted

I made this form last year, and it worked perfectly: https://form.jotformeu.com/43231609544351

It has lots of required fields. Now I need to use it again, and even if I fill out all the required fields, I keep getting the message: 'Évfolyam field is required Please go back and fix the problem'

I've read lots of answers to the same problem, cleared cache etc, but none of it solved my problem.

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    Ágnes

To my understanding it seems you are experiencing issues with having invalid required fields even though you said you are filling out all of the information.

You have several conditions and it appears there may be a conflict due to the requirement structure but I will need a bit of time to thoroughly investigate this issue and I will respond to you again asap.

    Thank you KadeJM!

As I said the same form worked perfectly before with all the conditions and required fields. I have no idea why the system picked on only this field now. I could make it work by making this field optional, but unfortunately I have to make sure students won't skip it.

We apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. I was able to replicate the problem with a cloned version of your form, and I was able to find the cause.

There seems to be a calculation set on your drop-down field named Évfolyam with the field ID of 57, and this calculation is causing the drop down to be cleared just before the form is submitted. The calculations are calculated right after hitting the Submit button, which is why this calculation causes the drop-down field to lose its original selected value.

As I can't find any ways to remove this calculation from your form, I have raised this to our developers for closer inspection. If you would like to fix this yourself, you can first duplicate the affected field, and then delete or hide the original field that has this calculation set upon it.

To duplicate a field, just click on its gear-shaped icon, and select Duplicate:

To delete or hide the original affected field, click on the gear-shaped icon of that field again, and select Delete or Hide Field, respectively.

    I hope this helps.
