CscProvidenceAsked on March 16, 2016 at 1:35 PMBonjour,
Sweet ! There is so much good in JotForm it is mind boggling ...
It would be nice if you could have the warning messages with default
translations as well. Or at least to allow users to create libraries which
could be shared across the forms or even with other users. Otherwise, it
looks, thus far, like one would need to do the translations over and over
for each form ?
Of course, as I think a little more about this, one could make an empty
multi-lingual template with the language selections and translations of
common elements. It can then be their "default" blank form to avoid having
to redo the translations ...
Then again, an update / correction to one translation would not
automagically appear in already active/made forms, just the template and
future forms ...
There is always a catch, isn't there ? ;)
Again, thanks for a great product and service. I really need to dig into
the widgets, documents / FAQs, etc. to see just how far JotForm allows us
to go.
Bonne journée,

If you want to create your forms on French, you can change language inside of your form builder to Français and then all warning messages will be on French.
You can change language of your Form Builder at the bottom of the page.
Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Merci.
However the translation is incomplete - many entries are still in English, and some of the translation has errors (typos, improper French, ...) or inconsistencies in format as if done by different people or automated translators.
How can I submit corrections so you may update your default translations ?
By the way, does this mean if someone updates a form using a profile which has a different language they will unknowingly change the language of the form they edit ? One should probably set "default" language for each of their forms, make it the default language for the form, regardless if they have a multi-lingual form or not, just in case they have administrators (users with edit rights) who might be using a different profile language ...
Also, some of your labels are not correctly translated when changing the profile language. I changed my profile to French and some labels end up neither in French or English :
As you can see from above :
"Format de bouton" is labelled relatively well. However, the choices remain in English.
What is "tarik" ? It should probably be "Style" - same in English and French. Again, the choices are stuck in English.
"Détercter la langue" is labelled relatively well. However, the choice remains in English while the desc was properly translated.
As for "Save Language" and "Show Selector", the translation was missed as it stayed in English - the entire respective blocks.
As offered long ago, I could go through as much of the site as possible and help with the French. Let me know if interested.
Bonne journée,

Form screenshot you provided I see that some options are not translated. You can click on "Help us Translate JotForm!" link and provide us your translation.
If the form is created on Français and then language is changed to some other language, form fields and warning messages will still be on original language. However if new field is added to the form that field will be shown on current language of Form Builder.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
