Slightly more complex Logical Conditions on Forms

Asked by jolizzy on March 08, 2012 at 01:29 PM

IF "When would you like your pledge to be processed" = "Immediately", THEN "Pledge Type" = "Fixed Amount".

IF "Pledge Type" = "Fixed Amount", THEN "# of lengths" = 1.

Is there any way to make this happen?

Can you please provide the link to the form so I can try to recreate it and check what I can do?

After you set up a conditional logic, you can actually create a new rule to either show or a hide a field if all or any of the conditions were matched.

Also, here is a step by step tutorial on creating conditions on forms:

Any idea what's with the huge white blocks I get at the bottom of the page?  The only reason I split it into 2 pages was because the "submit" button disappeared into the white block.

Thanks for the link... I've already seen that tutorial, and all it allows is showing or hiding fields, which is not what I want to do.

    Thank you for provided information.

There is some problem with our shrunken fields and google sites. In order to solve the problem you may either add some full size field to the end of your form or delete your shrunken Submit button and add the full size Submit field.

    * Google Sites Widget height is set to 700px in the above example.

Currently, there are two HIDE # of lengths field and HIDE Pledge type field conditions in your form. Could you please explain, how exactly do you want to modify conditions?

Sorry, I have 2 questions going at once.  I created a new question re: the submit button.

Back to my original question:  I would rather have all the fields show per the example in my first post, but I think conditional hiding will work ok.  I'll get some input from likely users and see if it confuses them.

I have sent a reply in your second thread.

IF "When would you like your pledge to be processed" = "Immediately", THEN "Pledge Type" = "Fixed Amount".

If you would like to switch Pledge type drop down to "Fixed Amount" based on condition, unfortunately, it is not possible. However, you can use Show condition to show some other drop down for example.
