Some of my conditions have stopped working.

    Hi,

My conditions were working perfectly just recently, but after making a few edits to the text some options are no longer working.

In the 'Focus Questions' section (page 6, question 41), if you select the first checkbox the first field shows correctly. However if you select the 2nd or 3rd checkbox, the fields below do not show as specified in the condition and remain hidden ... why is this happening? Help!

I cloned your form and checked the conditions there. It appears that the value set for the second and third options of "Please select at least ONE of these options.." field is "Please select" instead of the correct value. No value is selected from the options which is why the conditions are not working.

To resolve the issue, please set the values for the conditions to their appropriate options.

Once they are set, the conditions should now be working correctly.

Ok great. I don't know how that changed because it was filled in and working yesterday, but thanks! :)

Thank you for your response, cmsacomms.

You can also check on your form's revisions history to see if something might have changed after your successful update, prior the problem.

You can check this guide to be able to know how to get to your form's revision history: https://www.jotform.com/help/294-How-to-View-Form-Revision-History

If you have questions, please do let us know.

    Thanks.

Hi, I'm still having some problems with the conditions and things appearing. If you look at the conditions below for question 48 (page 6) it all looks ok, but when you go to the form and select checkbox no. 2 for this question, the relevant textbox field below it doesn't appear. But the other checkboxes seem to be functioning as normal. What is going wrong?

I cloned your form and checked the conditions. It seems that the condition for question 48 had its value suddenly changed from option 'number 2' into 'please select'. When I view the condition, the value is shown as option number 2, but when I open it, the value is suddenly 'please select'. Please see the gif below:

To resolve the issue, please change the value of your condition to the proper option. You can also try as my colleague suggested and use the Form Revision feature to revert the form to a previous version where the condition was working. Here's how: How to view form revision history

If the issue still persists, please let us know.

Thanks for the response however I have check the conditions as it appears all normal. When you open up the details - the value is set at number 2 - see screengrab below. Yet the relevant textbox won't appear for checkbox 2. I have tried to clone the form and yet the same problem. I guess my only option is possibly to clone the form that you have just created, but it is a bit frustrating as to not be able to understand the deeper issue as to why it's not appearing. I could look at the form revision history however as I have made multiple changes it's a little bit difficult to determine what may have caused this behaviour.

Here's the link to my cloned version of your form: https://form.jotform.com/61567704195967. I checked the conditions there and they seem to be working fine.

However, I checked the condition further and I noticed that the option that isn't working has a <br> tag within the text. Although my cloned version works even with the <br> tag, perhaps this may be causing the condition to read the value incorrectly on your end, thus the condition is not working. Can you try removing the <br> tag on the second option to see if that resolve the issue?

Hi, ok I've removed the <br> tag and that might have been causing some interference (I had the <br> tag originally in there because it was a long text string next to the checkbox going across the page, but I've now used a different layout). So it seems to be working now.
