Print Free Text field in PDF
Asked by fairfinance on April 13, 2012 at 06:50 AMtext field Free Text field print online form email createHi,
I've created a form which will be hosted on our website in order to make it possible for client to sign a contract online, by filling all the required fields. In the end however, we require the clients to print the form, sign it and send it back. I was able to create a link to the PDF on the thank-you page and in the confirmation email, however all free-text fields are missing.
As they contain T&C it is mandatory that they are printed in PDF, as well, otherwise it won't have much of a legal value... is that possible at all, without the need to manually print each contract using a third-party tool and then sent it back to the client manually?
Moreover, would it be possible in the future to choose which fields should be printed in the PDF? For example, the upload file field is not really needed in the print-out, only in the online form.
Thank you!
Kind Regards,
Philipp

Otherwise there will be a lot of empty fields that will create lot of confusion to the user.
Thank you!

The following submission:

and the following PDF:

I can't seem to get anything to display as I want to, althought following these instructions at least the PDF should be ok, but only the first heading is showing...

Answered by fairfinance on April 16, 2012 at 05:10 AMIs there at least a way I can show all headings in the PDF? It seems some are showing and some are not. Same applies for HTML Free Text fields. Some are showing in the PDF, some are not. This is quite confusing...

This feature has already been assigned to one of our developers.
However, while its status is now set to important. we cannot provide you with an exact date or timeframe, because our developers team keeps busy taking care of some other urgent fixes.
At any rate, I have already sent them a message with your inquiry. They should let you know on this thread, once they have an update of this request.
Thank you for choosing Jotform!
