NOTE: Only Harvard Law School students may apply to this HLS clinical course.
Please complete this brief application form in order to be considered for the Role of the State Attorney General clinic. Applicants must be full-time 2L or 3L Harvard Law School students in 2011/2012.
Clinic placements are with the Massachusetts Attorney General in either the fall or spring semesters (2-4 clinical credits). Admitted students will also be enrolled in the Spring 2012 Role of the State Attorney General class (2 class credits), taught by visiting lecturer James Tierney, the former Attorney General of Maine. There are 6 clinic spots available each semester.
The deadline to submit this application form is 5pm EST on Monday, July 25. Students will be randomly selected for the clinic spots. Students not initially selected into the clinic will be placed on a waitlist. All students who submit this form will be notified of the results on July 27. Students who receive a clinic spot will work individually with the Clinical office to coordinate enrollment, scheduling, and begin the security clearance for the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Due to the security clearance, please note that this clinic has early add/drop deadlines of August 19 for the fall clinic, and January 2 for the spring clinic. Students who drop the clinic will also be dropped from the class.
