It is very important that you answer all the questions honestly to help us to know you better and to help with finding the best dog for you.

You must be 18 years old or older in order to adopt one of our rescue pets.

Once we receive your application we will let you know that we have received it. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted by email and by phone. Each dog that is old enough will be spayed or neutered before leaving the rescue and will be up-to-date on all vaccines.

Please understand that it takes time to print and review each application. If you are not serious about adopting a dog or puppy please do not submit an application. There is much to do with a rescue and it takes much time and money to properly take care of the dogs and puppies. If you are not serious about adopting but submit an application it all takes time away from getting other things done and time spent with the dogs. Please understand that if you are not serious about adopting this pet or if you are waiting to hear back from a shelter or another rescue give time to get back with you. If you submit this application to us and are not serious or only tell us when we get back with you that you have already adopted a dog it waste our time (time that could have been spent taking care of things at the rescue, working with the dogs, etc.) and also you waste money that could have been spent on the dogs because we print each application and this takes money to purpose paper, printer ink, printer, etc. Not to mention the time it takes to review each and every application, contact references, etc. to find the best home for the dog. Also, if you schedule a time to come and visit with the dog(s) please make sure that you show up or at least call to re-schedule. If you schedule a time to come to see a particular dog then if anyone else contacts us about the same dog we tell them that there is another family interested so that you have the opportunity first to see that dog. This sometimes causes the dog to miss out on a great home if you do not show or if you were waiting on other dog from another rescue and decide to get it and don't let us know. So, if you have filled out an application from another rescue please find out (before you complete this application) if you have been approved at that rescue and if you are going to get that dog, please do not waste our time and funds that could be spent on the dog. Please be responsible and think before you press the "Submit" button below. Are you serious or just filling out applications for various dogs for the fun of it. This is a serious matter and we do want you to find the best dog for you and your family and also the best home for the dog.

We are located in Lexington, North Carolina. If you are chosen to adopt a dog, how do you plan on getting the dog? WE DO NOT SHIP OUR PUPPIES! It is too stressful on any puppy to be shipped. It can cause serious sickness and in some cases death. We do have someone that some times will deliver for us to certain locations for an additional fee. If you are not serious about adopting or are waiting to be approved at another rescue or shelter, please check with them to see if you have been approved before submitting our application. When you complete an application and we print the application it take our time and funds to process, review, etc. the application. Then after checking references, etc. and we get in contact with you or you email us after we have scheduled an appointment for you to visit it takes time away from the dogs and puppies at the rescue, plus time that we could contacting someone else for a possible forever home for the dogs. We take finding homes for the dogs very serious. If you are scheduled an appointment, please make sure that you make your appointment or contact Amy at 336-787-5786 to let her know that you need to cancel or re-schedule your appointment for another day. If you have questions about a dog or receive an email requesting that you contact Amy about your application, please contact Amy after 7pm. Our days at the rescue are very busy running here and there and taking care of the dogs. It will help to assure that you get Amy if you all after 7pm.
