• Anywhere Theatre Festival 2011 Expression of Interest

  • The Anywhere Theatre Festival is the first theatre festival in Brisbane to only allow productions not using traditional theatres.

Productions can be in parks, backyards, dining rooms, hotels, community halls, second life - anywhere as long as it is not a traditional theatre space. Productions can be traditional text based plays, site specific work, visual art installations or promenade theatre.

    It's theatre. Anywhere.

Why should you take part in the Anywhere Theatre Festival?

    1. You will receive a range of support from location negotiations, forums with experts, FAQs and a range of resources to help you put your show together

    2. There is a festival wide marketing and pr plan, ticketing that provides an audience focus

    3. You will be part of a larger network of local, national and international theatre practitioners all here over the course of ten days.

Save about 33% if you register and pay by the early bird deadline of 31st October 2010. Final registration deadline is 31st of January.

It's going to be exciting and we'd love you to add to it, so read on for details on registrations or contact us through www.anywherefest.com, on twitter @anywherefest, tumblr anywherefest or the Facebook group if you have further questions or issues with the registration form.

    Regards,

    The Anywhere Theatre Festival team

PS. If you have any issues with these forms email us at anyone {at} anywherefest.com

  • How does this work?

  • 1. Look through this form so you're across the information we require

    2. Register your interest any time from 1st September to 31st January 2011. The earlier the better as we can keep you in the loop about developments and other funding opportunities that arise. Even if your production is in the early stages of development, it is worth registering early and updating the details after the registration deadline as more is known.

  • Marketing and PR

  • There will be festival wide marketing and PR. However, like other fringe festivals it is important to have a strategy to maximise the chances that your potential audience finds your show. The following questions will help us to determine ways that we can assist to maximise audience attendance at your show.

  • Location, location, location

  • This is the really interesting bit and one of the many ways the Anywhere Theatre Festival is unique. As mentioned in the Producers Pack, we do not expect the majority or registering companies to know the exact show location at this point. After the registration deadline we will be working youto confirm this, looking at potential hubs and becoming a conduit for any permit or negotiations that need to take place. What is more important for us is to get a good idea of what you are planning. Having said that, if you know the place you want to use, please mention it here.

  • Performance Dates

  • Interstate and International Groups

  • The 2011 Anywhere Theatre Festival is for audiences within the boundaries of the Greater Brisbane City Limits. Because of the nature of the festival, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to come here to present your work, as long as audiences here can experience your work anywhere other than a traditional theatre venue.
