The STATE OF IOWA has not adopted any educational and training standards for the practice of hypnosis. Hypnotism is a self-regulating profession and its practitioners are not licensed by the state of Iowa. Greg States is not a physician or a licensed healthcare provider and may not provide a medical diagnosis or recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments, prescriptions, or medical advice from your family healthcare provider. If you desire a diagnosis, suspect you
have a medical or psychological condition, or wish to start any new health program, you should first consult with your licensed family healthcare practitioner or mental health professional. A client has the right to refuse hypnosis services at any time. If a client desires any other type of services the client may seek such services at any time. A client has a right to know the expected duration of services, and may assert these rights without retaliation. The services rendered
by Greg States are held out to the public as non-therapeutic hypnotism, defined as the use of hypnosis to inculcate positive thinking and the capacity for self-hypnosis. Greg States does not represent these services as a form of healthcare or psychotherapy, and despite research to the contrary, by law he makes no health benefit claims for these services.
Education: Greg States graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned his M.A. degree in hypnotherapy from Goddard College, Plainfield, Vermont. Throughout his career he has completed advanced training in professional hypnosis, conducted research studies, and has additional training in a variety of complementary approaches to self-improvement goals.

Fees: Payment of the agreed upon fee is due at your appointment, or prior to your appointment if we request. There is no guarantee that the services provided will assist you in reaching your goal.
Cancellation Policy: If you're unable to keep your appointment for any reason, please contact our office. The full fee will be charged for appointments broken or canceled without 24-hour notice. Unused sessions or credits are forfeited by the client if not used within one year.
