The agreements below are required to park at HHIHS.
Parking on campus is not a right but a privilege that can be revoked for disciplinary reasons, attendance concerns (late/absent), or failure to comply with parking and driving procedures. Parking rules are published in the student agenda book on pages 10-11 and can be reviewed at any time.

Any student who needs to go to the parking lot during the school day must secure a pass from the administration.

Excessive absences/tardiness and/or failure to follow parking regulations may result in a temporary or permanent loss of parking privileges. The student agrees to drive safely on the roads leading to the school and through parking lots.

Leaving campus without permission during the school day or being involved in a Safe-Schools Violation could result in parking privileges being revoked for the remainder of the school year and disciplinary actions per BCSD code of conduct.

By State Law, any vehicle on school property is subject to search if there is a reasonable suspicion by administration that the vehicle could contain weapons or illegal substances. At HHIHS, unannounced police canine searches are conducted on school property in accordance with SC State requirements multiple times each year. By signing this, you acknowledge your consent to searches of your vehicle by school administration prompted by any reasonable suspision while parked on school property.

Parking hangtags must be visible at all times. Parking passes should never be borrowed or transferred to another vehicle without administrative approval. If you get a new vehicle, inform Dr. Hunter of the vehicle change and fill out the registration portal again for your new vehicle.

When you are given a hangtag it will contain the parking lot name and spot number. You are expected to park in the parking lot and spot number that correspond to your hangtag. If for some reason your parking spot is blocked or occupied; park in a visitor spot and let administration know that your parking spot has been blocked or occupied. Do not try to resolve any parking disputes on your own, bring all issues to administration to resolve.

For students who graduate in December and do not need their parking pass in the Spring, they may return their parking pass to Dr. Hunter and receive a refund for $25 for the Spring Semester. The pass may not be given to another student.
