School Culture Assessment (SCA)

    The School Culture Assessment (SCA) provides an overall rating of the cultural health of your institution across the four maxims of a resilient school culture (leadership, safety, unity, and trust). This instrument will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Upon completion, results will automatically be emailed to the address you provided at the outset of taking the assessment. In addition to the automated results, you will also receive a comprehensive result report within 48-hours of your completion.

As you review your scores, consult the scoring rubric below, which will aid you in interpreting your results. In addition to these results, you will receive a comprehensive results report from the OptiPlied team, delivered to your email address within 24-hours. So keep an eye on your inbox.

      (Leadership – A functional group of devoted forerunners who protect the heritage of the institution and learn together how to actuate the school’s stated vision.)

      (Unity – A common connectedness to the institutional mission, vision, values and direction, bringing all community members together with mutual respect.)

       
    • Safety – {safety}
      (Safety – A feeling of security held by those within the institutional space as an outgrowth of a tangible commitment to the well-being of all.

                             
    • Trust – {trust}
      (The consistent alignment of an institution’s statements and its actions for the benefit of all community members, engendering widespread confidence.) 

     

    Global school culture scores 

    • Engineering Activity – {engineering}
      An institution’s functional establishment of the 4 maxims of a resilient school culture, which are presently in operation (existing policies, processes, key trainings, etc).

       
    • Confidence Level – {confidence}
      An institution’s perception of the strength of the maxims within its present school environment (employee compliance, parent engagement, student conduct, etc).

    4 maxims rubric–

    Leadership, Unity, Safety & Trust:

    Total score of 0-10 – Weak

    Total score of 11-26 – Emergent

    Total score of 27-32 – Strong

     

    Global school culture rubric–

    Engineering Activity & Confidence Level:

    Total score of 0-20 – Weak

    Total score of 21-52 – Emergent

    Total score of 53-64 – Strong

     

    Scoring Definitions

     

    Weak – This area of your school/district culture is a liability needing to be given the focused attention and strategic action of leadership to begin making gains.

     

    Emergent – You are on the road to developing this area of your school/district culture. There is more work to be done, but you are certainly on your way.

     

    Strong – This is an area of strength for your school/district. Continue to intentionally invest to make it stronger and your global school culture more resilient.
