Small World is 35! As we reflect on our long journey, we count our blessings as a school and are deeply grateful for God’s faithful provision through the years.

Since 1986, Small World has been providing early childhood Christian education to families in Hong Kong - welcoming more than 3,500 children and their families to our Borrett Road campus.

A huge blessing to us has been our location on 10 Borrett Road - a historical building leased to us by the Hong Kong government. While over 3,500 children have enjoyed our beautiful school campus, we recognize that more can be done to make the most of both our indoor and outdoor space.

As part of our 35th anniversary celebration, Small World is embarking on a fundraising campaign so that the school may continue to provide a happy, robust and safe learning environment in the years to come.

Outdoor Playground Enhancement (HK$400,000)
Our newly installed outdoor playground was designed for the Early Years and to make full use of our available outdoor space. While we were able to put in the main features of the playground: the seamless safety surface, an embankment slide with mount, monkey bars, a mini hammock, and two pairs of Talk Tubes, we would like to further enhance it with more interactive panels for our children to explore. We would also like to create a beautiful garden around the periphery with hanging plants on the fence.

Outdoor Garden (HK$500,000)
Since 2019, we have installed some planters and artificial grass for our garden. Our children have been enjoying the gardening experience and this additional space for outdoor play. We still need to make the surrounding safer for children to run around in (e.g. replace the drainage covers) and reinforce the fence to keep away the wild boars. We would also like to extend our garden to give more space for our children to play in, as well as install a treehouse where children can let their imaginations flourish.

First Floor Indoor Playground (HK$300,000)
This is a space where our children enjoy being active and play. We would like to put in more variety of equipment for them to freely explore and extend their learning.

Indoor Garden/Reception Area (HK$300,000)
We would like to modernise the downstairs hallway and install a reception area on the ground floor to better serve our families and community. To align with our school's sustainability goals and beautify our indoor space further to give our children a pleasant environment filled with greenery indoor, we would like to install an indoor garden where children can plant, build blocks, play with toys, and read in the area.

Playgroup - Permanent Site
Small World (Generations) Playgroup is an accompanied programme that focuses on empowering families with younger children through skills that parents and caregivers learn to create a caring and nurturing setting. As you may know, our Playgroup is currently located at Watermark Community Center which is a wonderful venue and a blessing to us. However, our desire is to have a permanent home for our Playgroup where the entire environment can be fully enabled for our young learners and their families on a more long-term basis.
