About the SMSRC: This 60-minute presentation will provide information on the programs and services available at the SMSRC, with a focus on the 24/7 support phone line and the Response and Support Coordination (RSC) program. Participants will learn about our mandate, what to expect when they call us, our contact information, and resources available.Trauma Informed Approach (maximum of 25 attendees): This 120 to 150-minute presentation will facilitate a discussion of trauma, potential impacts, how it affects coping and responses. Participants will learn, amongst others, how to have atrauma-informed conversation and what constitutes Military Sexual TraumaHybrid: About the SMSRC and Trauma Informed Approach (maximum of 25 attendees): This 150 to180-minute presentation will combine both presentations to provide information on the programs and services available at the SMSRC, with a focus on the 24/7 support phone line and the Response and Support Coordination (RSC) program. Participants will learn about the SMSRC mandate, what to expect when they call, contact information, and resources available. This presentation will facilitate a discussion of trauma, potential impacts, how it affects coping and responses. Participants will learn, amongst others, how to have atrauma-informed conversation and what constitutes Military Sexual Trauma.
