    About STAIR
  • Para la versión en español del formulario, haga clic en el botón de la esquina superior derecha que dice "español.

STAIR (Start The Adventure In Reading) is a free after school reading program for first and second graders in 13 Birmingham area schools. STAIR meets after school and each student is paired with a volunteer tutor and receives one-on-one attention to help them become a stronger reader.

Because each student works with their very own tutor(s), it is important that all students commit to attending every scheduled STAIR session. If your child cannot attend due to sickness, doctor’s appointment or some other reason, please let us know ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly.

We are looking forward to your student joining us for tutoring this year. We are excited to partner both with you as parent/guardian as well as with your student on their way to reading better and dreaming bigger.
