Whiting Pharmacy COVID Booster Vaccine

The FDA/CDC has recently approved a third dose of the Moderna, Pfizer, and Janssen (J&J) COVID vaccine for selected individuals. The CDC recommends the booster to any patient who is >65 years of age, 50-64 with underlying medical conditions, and patients 18+ who are at an increased risk for contracting COVID-19 because of occupational or institutional settings.

At a time when the Delta variant is surging, an additional vaccine dose for some people with weakened immune systems could help prevent serious and possibly life-threatening COVID-19 cases within this population.
