Theme: "LPWAN Usecases: NB-IoT versus Sigfox"
LPWAN is a Low Power wireless Wide Area Network technology that aims to interconnect low-bandwidth, battery-powered devices with low bit rates over long ranges. With the extremely low power consumption property, the LPWAN solutions enable numbers of M2M and IoT applications which require infrequent uplink message delivery of smaller messages. However, under the family of LPWAN, NB-IoT and Sigfox both have their own applications and are particularly designed for different purposes. This workshop therefore will introduce the pros and cons of each wireless communication technology and look into the details of each application.
Keynote Speakers:
Topic: The introduction of IoT and NB-IoT
- Mr Desmond Li, Associate Product Director, IoT, China Mobile Hong Kong
Topic: Sigfox Technical Overview and Sigfox XKit Demonstration
- Mr Jeff Leung, Solutions Consultant, Thinxtra Solutions Limited
