Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council is pleased to provide scholarships to current high school seniors attending an institute of higher learning in Fall of 2024. Each application will be considered for all scholarships available. Please note, these scholarships are only available for girls who are registered members of Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council. Girl Scouts from other councils should check with their home council and GSUSA to see what scholarships may be available.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, February 9th, 2024 and references must be received by Tuesday, February 13th, 2024. Late applications and references will not be accepted. In addition, you must upload your academic transcript to this application.
Your references will receive an email with a link to the recommendation form. It is your responsibility to ensure that all 3 of your references have submitted their recommendations by the deadline. You, as the applicant, will receive an email when each of your references has submitted a recommendation for you.
If chosen as a finalist, all applicants should be prepared to participate in a 10-15 minute interview with a small panel of representatives made up of Girl Scout and community volunteers, including a member of the GSHNC Board of Directors. These interviews will take place virtually on Wednesday April 10th, 2024. An interview is required to be selected as a recipient of any scholarship.

February 13th, 2024 – Recommendations submission deadline
March 15th, 2024– Finalists selected and all applicants notified of status
April 10th, 2024– Finalist interviews
April 17th, 2024– Scholarship recipients selected and all girls notified of status
June 2nd, 2024– Scholarship recipients recognized at GSHNC Awards Ceremony and Donor Scholarship Event (Time and Location TBD)
