The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention supported program for adults (18+ years) who have been diagnosed with Prediabetes or are at risk for developing diabetes. This program is not intended for individuals currenting living with diabetes. Individuals need a BMI of 25 or more (Asian individuals BMI greater than 22), eligible lab value, and/or qualifying risk score.
This 12-month program designed to support individual lowering their risk of type 2 diabetes through behavior change in various health areas. The program meets a total of 26 times for 60 minutes at a time in a small group-based setting either in-person or online.
