This package is design to screen for sexually transmitted infections/diseases (STI/STD) discretely in the comfort of your home to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

A pap smear is a screening procedure that detects cervical cancer. Cervical cancer can be prevented and treated if it is found and managed early.

What’s included in the package:

Pap smear swab test
1 x female doctor/specialised nurse home visit for specimen swab
1 x Video consultation with a female doctor to discuss your test results

Things you should prepare before the appointment:

The test is not recommended to be conducted during your period time
No intercourse 48 hours prior to the appointment
No douching 48 hours prior to the appointment
No vaginal meds/spermicides/creams/gels 48 hours prior to the appointment

More info about the Pap Smear:

During your test:

Your female doctor or nurse will ask you to lie down with legs spread, knees bent and feet flat.
She will then insert a device called a speculum into your vagina to view your cervix and conduct the test. You will feel some pressure from the speculum.
Using a special brush, you may feel slight discomfort during sample collection as the brush lightly scrapes cells from your cervix. Tests will be done quickly and accurately.
Please don’t be afraid to inform your doctor if you feel pain. Everyone has different tolerance pain levels and your concerns are valid.

After the test:

Some women feel fine while some have discomfort after the test
Spotted bleeding that does not increase in amount. It is advisable to wear an unscented pantyliner or pad for the first few days after your test if you have some spotting. Avoid inserting anything into your vagina such as a tampon and avoid intercourse, at least until the bleeding clears to avoid irritating your cervix further.
If the bleeding is increasing in amount, lasting for more than 3 days, or associated with passing out blood clots; please seek immediate medical attention.
A mild cramping sensation in your lower abdomen and pelvis area might be present and typically lasts not more than 2-3 days. But if you feel the cramping gets severe, you should check with a doctor as soon as possible.
