Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, positive shopping experience.
- Provide fair, friendly, and courteous service while building strong customer relationships.
- Ensure smooth and efficient checkout by scanning items, itemizing purchases, and accurately processing payments.
- Handle cash, card, or other forms of payment and make change as needed.
- Resolve customer questions, concerns, or returns promptly and professionally.
- Balance the cash drawer by accurately counting funds at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain the checkout area clean, organized, and safe, following all store guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless store operations and excellent customer service.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on promotions, products, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
Qualifications
Required
- Must be able to work mandatory sales dates, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and major sale events.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude.

- Ability to provide quick and accurate information about products, promotions, and pricing.

- Problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and balancing registers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with work hours.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
Helpful
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience.
- Knowledge of outdoor sports or recreational equipment (skiing, biking, climbing, wakesurfing, soccer, etc.).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems or cash registers.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience handling customer returns and exchanges.
