    2022-2023 Membership Application
  • The mission of the North Texas Food Bank is to close the hunger gap in North Texas by providing access to nutritious food. Thank you for your interest in the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) Young Advocates Council (YAC). With your leadership we will work together to feed our hungry neighbors. Eligible YAC Members must be entering grades 9-11, Seniors will be considered on a case-by-case basis. To apply for participation in the YAC, please complete the following application to be considered. Completed applications will be reviewed by a panel of NTFB staff and community volunteers. Finalists will be invited to interview via zoom with members of the admissions panel. Applications are due no later than 5:00PM Thursday, 6/30/22. You will receive a reply on the status of your application via email by 7/15/22. If chosen, there is a class fee of $50 or mandatory canned food drive with an in-kind value of $50 or more, benefitting NTFB. This fee will cover expenses like lunches, fundraising supplies, class t-shirt, etc.

  • Membership Agreement

    With a parent or guardian, please review the following membership agreement and sign below.
  • MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT By signing and submitting this application, I agree to the following terms:   I submit that all the provided information is true and current to the best of my knowledge. Knowingly falsifying or providing misleading information will permanently disqualify me from the program. I commit to actively promoting NTFB's Young Advocates Council. I understand to maintain active status in the YAC, I must: Attend a minimum of 4 of 8 YAC meetings during the 2022-2023 year. Participate in a minimum of one group volunteer shift. Serve on a YAC fundraiser committee to ensure a successful campaign. I understand that I may continue serving on NTFB's Young Advocates Council in future school years so long as my status remains active this coming 2022-2023 year.   CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT I understand that during my time working as a volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank and in connection with my assigned duties I may receive or be exposed to non-public, proprietary and/or confidential information (written, visual, or verbal) regarding NTFB, its operations, business affairs, financial position, corporate status, assets, activities, strategic plans, marketing plans, or donors (“Confidential Information). I hereby agree that I will not copy Confidential Information; I will not publish or disclose Confidential Information to any person or entity or in any manner whatsoever; I will not use Confidential Information for my own benefit, for the benefit of any other person or entity, or for any purpose whatsoever; and I will not direct or permit any other person or entity to publish, copy, disclose or use Confidential Information in any manner or for any purpose whatsoever, without prior written approval of NTFB.   PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE I give my permission to use my/my child’s likeness in any public relations materials, online and/or in print for the promotion of the North Texas Food Bank and the Young Advocates program.   GENERAL RELEASE I agree to, and do hereby knowingly release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless, the North Texas Food Bank, its officials and employees, and its officers, directors, and volunteers, both jointly and severally, form all claims that might result from any accident, personal injury, illness, and/or death to the undersigned, whether or not such accident, personal injury, illness, death, damage or loss arises from the sole and/or contributory negligence of any person or entity released herein.
