Audition Information
Student Company II Requirements: Must be a minimum 11 years of age and have 3 years of in-studio dance training.

Required Classes
1. Student Company II Modern: Fridays, 4:15-5:15pm
2. Student Company II Rehearsal: Fridays, 5:15-7:00pm
3. Other Technique class of appropriate level

Student Company I Requirements: Must be a minimum 14 years of age and have 5 years of in-studio dance training.

Required Classes:
1. Student Company I Modern: Saturdays, 11:30 - 12:30pm
2. Student Company I Rehearsal: Saturdays, 12:30-3:00pm
3. Other Technique class of appropriate level.

AUDITION FORMAT: Dancers will be led through a brief warm-up followed by students learning and demonstrating a short phrase of Mark Morris repertory. Dancers should wear tights or leggings and a leotard or tight fitting top that covers their torso. Dancers will be barefoot.

FEES: The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center is committed to Access, Community, Artistic Excellence, and Creativity. In that spirit, we offer a tiered tuition system of financial aid designed to make high-quality dance education available to all families—regardless of income.

Student Company Tuition Fees will be posted on the Registration and Tuiton on June 16, 2026.
Please select the audition time for which you are registering:
I understand if my child is selected for Student Company, they may be placed in either Student Company I or Student Company II, regardless of their age.
I understand that the Student Company program requires a full academic year commitment. If my child is selected for Student Company, they will be expected to be present in their appropriate technique classes and rehearsals between September 2026 and June 2027, in addition to end of year performances during the weekend of June 4 - 6.
