Competition Details

1. Submission period: 1 August to 10 October 2022
*Shortlisted finalists will be required to be present during the prototype production, finals and prize-giving ceremony (taking place in October and November 2022).

2. Open to students (aged 15 to 35 years old) residing in Singapore and studying in local JC/Polytechnics, ITEs, and Universities/Colleges (including SOTA, LASALLE and NAFA) at the date of participation.

3. Work individually or up to a maximum of 3 people in a group to submit a Sustainability Corner design accompanied by a word report.

Deliverables & Requirements

1. Phase 1 (Design Submission)

• Submissions should include a word report that includes a short write-up of the design, reference images, and proposed sustainable materials.
• Submissions should be in PDF format.
• Submissions are to be submitted before 10 October 2022, 5pm.

2. Phase 2 (Prototype Development)

Shortlisted finalists will be working with an appointed vendor to develop a physical prototype of their designs. Do take note of the following:
• The materials proposed in the design might not be 100% replicated in the prototype.
• Production of the prototype will take approximately 2-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the designs.
• Shortlisted finalists will be required to be present during the prototype production, finals and prize-giving ceremony (taking place in October and November 2022).
*Shortlisted finalists are required to present their ideas and prototype to the judging panel.

Prizes & Opportunities for Shortlisted Finalists

1. Work with CapitaLand Ascendas REIT to implement the winning designs in their properties.

2. Have the designs published on CapitaLand Ascendas REIT’s website /corporate reports.

3. Win up to $5000 worth of eCapitaVouchers.
