      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Perform healthcare services in accordance with facility policy and procedures.

      • Prepare patients of all ages for examination and treatment. Obtain vital signs, perform tympanograms, vision checks, EKGs, and collect specimens. Assist with nurse service patients (BP checks, weight checks, ear washes).
      • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms and workstations.
      • Clean and disinfect patient care equipment after use.
      • Provide coverage for other nurses and assist with end-of-day duties.
      • Document using approved medical abbreviations and sign all entries. Manage and review patient records. Enter patient history, medications, allergies, and immunizations into EMR. Preload information for new patients and update charts as needed.

      JOB SUMMARY: Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our STAT Ambulance team. This role is essential in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care to patients in the pre‑hospital setting while supporting community health initiatives and home oxygen services. The position also includes responsibilities in Community Integrated Health Services (CIH), Emergency Department (ER), home oxygen setup and deliveries, and on‑call support for the Home Oxygen/DME department.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Provide immediate response to 911 calls and deliver pre‑hospital emergency medical care and transport. Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies during all compensated shifts. Maintain accurate, timely patient care reports and incident documentation. Maintain and inspect ambulances for cleanliness, operational issues, and inventory of supplies.
      • Apply strong knowledge of emergency medical protocols, patient assessment, and pre‑hospital care standards.
      • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as FMDH and STAT Ambulance policies.
      • Build and maintain effective working relationships with patients, the public, peers, and supervisors.
      • Educate patients on safe and effective use of home oxygen equipment per physician orders.
      • Participate in community outreach, public education and public relations activities such as blood pressure clinics and community activities.
      • Set up and maintain home oxygen and DME equipment (concentrators, cylinders, nebulizers, hospital beds, wheelchairs).
      • Answer ER call lights and communicate patient needs to nursing staff. Support ER providers and nursing with patient care tasks within EMT scope. Assist in monitoring patient and visitor behavior for safety concerns. Transport patients to ancillary departments (Lab, Radiology, RT, ICU, inpatient units). Assist with patient transfers, lifts, positioning, and mobility.
      • Restock and clean ER rooms, trauma bays, and supply areas and maintain readiness of procedure rooms, suture/cast carts, and emergency equipment.
      • Requires sustained physical and mental stamina to perform essential job duties safely and effectively, must demonstrate manual dexterity and strong hand‑eye coordination, must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds unassisted, in addition to pushing, pulling, carrying, and maneuvering

      DUTIES: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for obtaining high-quality specimens for diagnostic testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will be skilled in differentiating STAT from routine requests, assessing patient conditions, and accurately documenting data in the Meditech system.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Collect blood and other specimens with minimal discomfort to patients.
      • Prioritize STAT requests and distinguish them from routine samples.
      • Assess patient condition and medication schedules to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection.
      • Accurately enter relevant data into the Meditech system for physician review.
      • Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing the needs of both internal and external clients.
      • Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols. 

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
      • Certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA) is a plus.
      • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is desirable.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
