  • This contract is for the Wardrobe Enhancement Package entered into and between the following two parties:

    This document serves as a binding contract between {name} hereafter known as *Client," and MH Style Consulting LLC, hereafter known as "Stylist." The Client desires to engage in the Wardrobe Enhancement Package by the Stylist. Both parties agree to abide by the following conditions:

    1. Styling will be as follows: A total of eight hours which may be utilized in the following ways: (1) 2.5 hour Closet Analysis & Cleanout, up to four hours of personal shopping (with or without the client, online or in-person), and up to 1.5 hour final consultation. Stylist will keep track of how many hours have been used and will update Client accordingly. This package includes up to three traveling trips to the Client's home and/or shopping trips (see Line 2). It also includes hauling of wardrobe donations from the scheduled sessions (see Line 4). Scheduling appointments are based upon the availability of Stylist. Package must be completed within two consecutive months unless scheduled and/or approved by Stylist (see Line 4).

    2. The Client will pay the Stylist $695 total. Payment can be made in full, half, or up to three installments in the amount of $231.67 with the last payment in the amount of $231.66. First payment is due within three consecutive days of receiving this contract. Second payment must be made by the appointment date of Closet Analysis. Final payment must be made by the appointment date of the personal shopping (or upon request and approved by Stylist). If paying half, the first payment is due upon booking and the second payment is due by the first appointment. Every three consecutive days any payments are past due (except for deposit) a $10 fee will be added and due immediately or by the next scheduled payment date, if applicable. Stylist cannot guarantee scheduled appointments will be held for Client due to past due payments. If Client lives outside of the Twin Cities, there will be an additional travel fee. If the Client's home is driveable and approved by the Stylist, Client will be charged the MN Mileage Reimbursement Rate, round trip.

    3. Deposit and signed contract is due within three consecutive days of the sent date. The Stylist must receive both in order to start any consultation and/or shopping. If payment is made by check and is returned, the Client is responsible for a $20 returned check fee. Stylist cannot guarantee scheduled appointments will be held for Client due to past due payments. If the Client cancels within four consecutive days of signing contract and payment has been made, a refund will be made minus an $25 admin fee within seven business days. After four consecutive days, no refunds will be made. Any, and all, cancellations must be submitted in writing.

    4. As mentioned in Line 1, package must be completed within two consecutive months unless scheduled otherwise by Stylist. If package is not completed within the listed timeframe, Client forfeits any money given and the package itself. If there is an outstanding balance of hours worked, it is due within three consecutive days. For donation haul, the number of bags and size of bags are at Stylist's discretion and must only contain wardrobe items from the package.

    5. Downgrading to a package may be negotiable and will be up to Stylist. If Stylist already started working and the amount is more than the amount already received, the difference will be due within three consecutive days. If, or any, remaining refunds will be issued within seven business days by Stylist. If Client upgrades to another styling package or adds on any a la carte packages, a new contract may be written out and money may be transferred. Additional fees may also apply. 

    6. If there are additional hours worked on the day of appointments with approval between the Stylist and Client, the rate of $75 per hour will be added to invoice and will be due upon completion of that consultation. If there are more than three occasions of traveling, each additional trip will require a travel fee. Rates start at $25 and will be due on the next payment installment or immediately if all payments have already been received. Convenience fees in the amount of 2.9% $0.30 may apply if paying by credit card and/or PayPal. 

    7. If Client cannot attend in-person or virtual style consultation and fails to inform Stylist within twenty-four hours, there will be a $25 fee. 

    8. Client is subject to a cooperation clause; this allows the Stylist and contractors to walk away from the session and keep any money received in the event of inappropriate behavior of any kind. This includes verbal and physical abuse by Client, friends, or any other people associated with the Client. Client will receive documentation of the incidence(s) for their records. Stylist must also receive final payment upon receiving the incidental report. 

    9. Stylist has the right to take photos and receive photos from the styling session to keep on file. Additionally (please mark accordingly at the bottom of this contract):

    Stylist has the right to also use photos and receive photos for their social media, website, and other advertising platforms,

    Stylist also has the right to use their first name in captions. If no is selected below, an alias name will be used instead,

    Additionally, Stylist has the right to use the basic facts on the reasoning behind hiring the Stylist (ex: client going through a divorce, starting a new job, client has gained/lost weight, etc.)

    Client will not receive any money or royalties from any money exchanged to the Stylist as a result from advertised photo(s) and/or information

    10. The Client will not enter into any contracts on behalf of the Stylist or without the Stylist's knowledge and consent. This also includes entering into another wardrobe styling contract for the scheduled session with Stylist. Stylist also may not adhere to past styling advice done by former stylists including if Client has completed a color analysis. 

    11. In the event of injuries or damages resulting from insufficient protection on Client's part at Clients home (except in the case of negligence on the part of Stylist), Client will be responsible for paying for all of Stylist resulting costs. This includes, but not limited to, insurance deductibles and medical treatment. This also includes Stylist's contractors. All contractors hold their own insurance policy. Due to pandemic, neither party can be held responsible for contracting the Covid virus. 

    12. Stylist is not associated with any other contracts involved for the styling consultation. Stylist is also not associated with any damages made by Client, friends of the clients, or anyone associated with the styling consultation. 

    13. Client is responsible for the purchasing of items, shipping. and returning of the items. If Stylist pays for the items upfront and Client decides to keep them, Stylist will present an invoice as well as a copy of receipt (if requested) to Client for their records. Stylist must receive payment at the completion of the style consultation upon leaving in which payments must be made by check, cash, Zelle or Venmo. Checks are payable to Melissa Erickson. 

    14. If Client decides after the completion of the style consultation they wish to not keep the items they informed the Stylist they did want to keep and the Stylist was the original form of payment, there may be an additional personal shopping fee for the returning of the items. The refund of the items will be disbursed by the Stylist back to the Client within seven business days or if Client wishes, the refund can be used as a credit towards MH Style Consulting. Client must submit this in writing to Stylist. Client must adhere to the given store's return policy. 

    15. If applicable, Stylist is not responsible for any costs or additional costs if items do not fit Client. Stylist is also not responsible, and will be reimbursed, if Client damages unwanted items paid for by the Stylist. Client will also still be responsible to pay for the Stylist's hours worked. Payments for damaged items must be made via check, cash, Zelle or Venmo.

    16. All information is confidential and will not be given out. This includes address of Client, credit card information (if applicable), contact information, or any personal information. If payments are made online by Client, Stylist is not responsible if there is a breach through Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal. This also includes if mail is stolen which holds Client's cash or check.

    17. If applicable, due to a timeframe for shopping and styling, Stylist cannot guarantee that the foundation of Client's closet will be fully completed within the packaged hours. Also, although Stylist promotes self-confidence and empowerment, they do not guarantee that Client will. 

    18. This contract and the performance under this contract and all suits and special proceedings under this contract, be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. The prevailing party in any suit or action hereunder shall be entitled to recover from the losing party all costs incurred by it in enforcing the performance of, or protecting its rights under, any part of this contract, including reasonable costs of investigation and attorneys' fees. 

    19. This contract is non-transferable unless there is a written consent from Stylist. 

    20. If consultation is cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances (i.e. weather, war, Acts of God, etc.), styling consultation will be rescheduled for a later time and all money received will be transferred. If appointment dates get rescheduled, payment dates are still due on the original scheduled date. If consultation is cancelled due to the death of Client before the appointment is conducted, all money received will be refunded. If Stylist is unable to attend the scheduled appointment due to uncontrollable circumstances, there will be an experienced stylist to conduct the appointment or it will be cancelled and Client's money will be refunded.

    By signing this contract. you agree with all the above and have not made any alterations.
