    Step 3 - practical
  • This registration form can be used by clubs and facilities who are interested in hosting a coaching or teaching course practical. The practical is Step 3 in each of our courses and is preceded by an e-learning module and virtual classroom which must be fully completed prior to booking onto a practical course.

    Clubs or facilities hosting a practical can choose from one of the following options:

    • One free place on full course (price varies) 
    • Two free places on practical step of course (price varies)

    *Based on hosting a full capacity course (16 @ Level 1, 12 @ Level 2)

     

    Course notice period

    • A minimum of eight weeks notice is required to register a course.
    • To ensure completion of other course steps, vetting and safeguarding, we recommend registering a course at least 8 weeks in advance.

     

    Terms and Conditions

    • Swim Ireland may cancel the course anytime, at their discretion.
    • Swim Ireland does not accept responsibility for non-eligibility of candidates due to lack of Vetting NVB, Access NI or Safeguarding certificate.
    • It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure they have the correct vetting and safeguarding in place prior to the start of the course.
    • Should centre staff or club members on the course not have the correct vetting and safeguarding in place, they will be unable to attend but the course will still go ahead for other candidates.
    • Once vetting and safeguarding has been completed, the candidate can attend an alternative course.
    • Course candidates must be identified on confirmation of course registration.

  • When indicating course days and times, please provide a start and finish time for each day you wish the practical to run. Your total practical hours should be in line with the breakdown for type of

    If you are flexible on dates please also include this, along with any dates that do not suit (i.e. competitions days, bank holidays etc.)

    Provide any additional information that may be useful such as lesson/ session length, break time between lessons/ sessions, number of teaching stations and lanes available.
