Guidance for CPD Activities
- Educational content delivered to dental professionals must be developed completely independently of any sponsorship.
- Educational activities must not directly or indirectly, promote specific:
- Products by use of their brand or trade names
- Products or modes of treatment disproportionate to their normal contribution to quality patient care
- Products or methods of treatment in areas of clinical practice where accepted management standards are insufficient and a balanced rationale is not provided
- Experimental treatments and methods that have not been fully evaluated by independent research
- Experimental treatments without the support of the dental profession by reasonof inconclusive evidence of therapeutic benefits
- Theories and methods of treatment not supported by scientific evidence
- Techniques not accepted by a significant proportion of the dental profession, or not supported by accepted dental theory
- Facilitators and speakers delivering the material must have independence. They must not be briefed on, or influenced, as to how they present or deliver the education by the sponsors or advertisers.
- Facilitators and speakers must declare any conflicts regarding payment or benefits/inducements from a sponsor prior to delivering the approved activity.
Privacy

No company representative is allowed to record delegate information without the prior consent of ADAQ and the delegate. ADAQ reserves the right to use any photographs taken during the event for the purpose of non-commercial promotion and advertising.

The information provided within this document is correct at time of distribution. ADAQ reserve the right to cancel, relocate, substitute or change, without notice, any aspect of the event program. ADAQ reserves the right to cancel any activity if minimum numbers are not met. If an event is cancelled or postponed ADAQ will give as much notice as possible to reduce any inconvenience. In the event of cancellation or postponement of an event, ADAQ accepts no responsibility for losses incurred or monies expended.
ADAQ will not be responsible for personal insurance claims.
