Presidential Volunteer Service Award Application

Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council is only able to award the PVSA to registered members of Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council. Applicants from outside the council and applicants without a current Girl Scout registration will not be accepted.

PVSA forms are due by November 30th. Applicants will be notified of their award status after that date. Service Hours must have occurred during the previous girl scout year, October 1st to September 30th, with the exception of hours earned for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Please note you must submit this hour log with your application. Applications without an attached hour log will not be accepted.

The requirements for each award level are determined by age of the applicant and can be found below:

Gold Level PVSA
Kids (5-10): 75+ hours
Teens (11-15): 100+ hours
Young Adults (16-25): 250+ hours
Adults (>26): 500+ hours

Silver Level PVSA
Kids (5-10): 50 to 74 hours
Teens (11-15): 75 to 99 hours
Young Adults (16-25): 175 to 249 hours
Adults (>26): 250 to 499 hours

Bronze Level PVSA
Kids (5-10): 26 to 49 hours
Teens (11-15): 50 to 74 hours
Young Adults (16-25): 100 to 174 hours
Adults (>26): 100 to 249 hours

Please upload the PDF Hour Log form detailing your service hours earned from October 1st - September 30th. *

Members who achieve the required hours of volunteer service during the 2023-2024 year will recieve:

• The official President’s Volunteer Service Award pin
• A personalized certificate of achievement
• A letter signed by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.

The award package will be mailed directly to qualifying Girl Scouts and adults in the fall.
