Examples of corrections (items that are incorrect) and will be corrected at no additional charge:
- Misspellings: “Cat” is misspelled as “cta.”
- Items that were correct in your manuscript, but have been changed thereafter: You said your “son” ate ice cream, but it now says your “daughter” ate ice cream.
Examples of changes (items that are not technically incorrect) and will be charged when changes exceed the allowed number above:
- A citation needs to be fixed because it was incorrectly noted in the original manuscript.
- Updating a word or a phrase because another word/phrase sounds better.
- Adding/deleting a chapter, paragraph, sentence, or even a word.
- Reversing a change that was made previously.
REMEMBER all formatting, such as layout styles, sizes for fonts or pages, and page breaks, will be handled in the Layout/Design phase. Therefore, this type of input will not be accepted during the Editing phase.
