Thank you for your interest in making a donation to the Girl Scouts of Connecticut McGuff Museum of Girl Scout History. We are very proud of our collection of significant Girl Scout memorabilia and historical artifacts. Our collection has grown due to the generosity of donors who have been willing to share their treasured, often sentimental, items with us, so that we can share them with Girl Scouts of today and tomorrow.
As part of the donation process, please review our GSOFCT Donor Procedures below. The purpose of this policy is to transparently support the interests of all parties in acquisition.
Donation Policy
--Please provide a descripion of the donation item(s). We place priority on items where we can know the history, where there is an interesting personal story, and/or a strong Connecticut connection.
--Please submit the Donation Request form and allow two weeks for a response.
--Upon receipt of the form, the donation request will be reviewed by our Museum Archivist who will respond -- by phone or email -- with a decision.
--Should GSOFCT accept the donation, our Museum Archivist will mail to you a GSOFCT Deed of Gift. Please return one (prepaid postage envelope will be provided) and keep one for your records. And arrangements
--Upon acceptance of your donation, please forward to GSOFCT by mail, or deliver to, the address above to the attention of McGuff Museum of Girl Scout History.
In conclusion, you acknowledge that the donation is an unrestricted and, from the day of acceptance forward, becomes the property of the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. GSOFCT cannot place a monetary value on any donations. It is the responsibility of the donor to determine the value of a gift for tax purposes.
