  • SAMC C.R.E.W. Peer Ministry aims to provide meaningful experiences for students who are looking to grow as leaders in their faith. This program is open to high school juniors and seniors who have received their sacrament of Confirmation. Teens who wish to join the CREW must apply through our CREW application. Teens in the CREW should expect to attend our monthly meetings to be formed and to serve as leaders for our middle school ministry and high school ministry programs.

    SAMC CREW Mission

SAMC CREW seeks to grow disciples of Jesus Christ in our community by developing teen leaders into positive, faithful, dedicated role models who build community and assist with the faith formation of their peers.

C.R.E.W. stands for the 4 pillars of our peer ministry:

Community: as disciples we are called to build and foster strong Christ centered relationships and to create a sense of belonging in our community. CREW encourages youth to support one another, share experiences, and create a safe space for open communication and friendship as we journey towards sainthood together.

Revive: The Church needs spiritual renewal and revitalization. CREW members encourage those we serve to reconnect with their faith, find inspiration, and engage in activities that rejuvenate their spirit, helping them grow closer to God and each other. CREW members are also called to revive their own faith through ongoing spiritual formation.

Encounter: “To encounter Christ” is part of our parish mission. CREW members highlight the importance of experiencing and encountering God in impactful ways. CREW members help to facilitate encounters with Christ and those who we serve.

Witness: The final part of our parish mission is, “to live for Him.” CREW members follow our mission by living as witnesses for Christ. CREW members live out their sacrament of Confirmation by actively serving all who they encounter with Christ’s love, hospitality, and joy.

SAMC Youth Ministry needs teen leaders to guide and shape our youth ministry and to serve the Church. Any teen in Grades 11th-12th or those who have already received the sacrament of Confirmation and are in high school are welcome to apply to be part of the CREW through this interest form - If you are ready to live out the sacrament of Confirmation, apply!

CREW applicants are expected to have a conversation with the youth minister about the teen's interest and availability.
Generally teens who show an interest in Peer Ministry are welcomed to the team. The main purpose for the conversation is to clarify expectations so the teen and family know what is expected of the commitment of being a Peer Minister.

*Peer Ministry is a different program than the high school on-going formation that will be offered going forward. Peer Ministers are encouraged to register for our youth ministry programs.
